Bush ahead by 20 points!

150,000 give Bush TWENTY POINT LEAD!! Posted by Hello

Sunday, September 19, 2004

Life, Work, Politics.. what else is there?

Good morning ya'all. Before I get started, I wanted to show this msnbc (which as you know viewers leans a bit more democrat than republican), poll shows Bush with a 17% lead. On tv you hear about 5, 6, 7, 10 point lead. Well the polls you hear about are done with 500 or 1000 people at a time, and they're usually the same people. It makes me sick to think the media is telling 330 million people that X person has a N point lead over the other when they're only talking about 500-1000 people. No.. online polls such as this one are more in tune with america because it represents a much larger portion of the population. As of Sunday September 19th 2004, over 100,000 have voted in this poll and Bush is ahead by 17%. In reference to C-BS, I believe that America has finally seen Dan Rather's true colors. He refuses to admit what he did and stands behind "the content" of the forged documents, even though a Brigadaire General has publically disputed the charge against "Lieutenant" Bush. Then you have the letters released between the General and Bush's Dad (Bush 41) that shows how gung-ho GBW was. Dan Rather has finally crossed the line. His credibility and that of CBS is GONE and the American PEOPLE have said as much based on the ratings for CBS have PLUMMETED in 7 of the 10 major markets. I'm only glad to see the fall of Dan Rather because Dan Rather did it to himself. No one else did it, especially not republicans.

Now, onto other things....
Kemah Police Chief Roy Owen has announced his retirement effective October 31st 2004. I have so many thoughts about this man I could fill pages of my blog. But no.. I'm only going to say that I believe in Karma and as a God fearing Christian, I truely believe that those who commit evil acts onto others will get their due. Unfortunately in real-life, it doesn't happen as quickly as we would like. Also, I am not holding my breathe for getting my part time job back after he leaves. If I do, then I'll take the opportunity knowing I'm a better person and that I stood up for what I believe in and I did the right thing. I know I was right in doing what I did because City Council members, friends, family and people I've met since who have heard what happened have all told me I was courageous and strong. I like to think I'm a little like President Bush. I stand firm in what I believe in and I never waiver, EVER.

Work. ugh. I have worked every day for 3 weeks straight. We are trying to get the beta of our CRM package out and trying to release to the public at the end of the month. I Finished the manual and the online support documents yesterday, along with some code changes. We are so proud of what we've done with the software. We are very excited about it and believe everyone will love it. Hopefully sales take off and I hope I can take a weekend off soon. This 7 days a week thing is starting to get to me.

On a lighter note..
Whitney is doing really good. She recently brought home her 3 week progress report and she has straight A's. I am very proud of her. She really likes all her teachers and is starting to finally enjoy "the boring stuff" such as math and science. She spent the night Friday night with Traci and they went shopping yesterday so she had a really good day. Last night she found out 1 of her 2 best friends broke her arm so she was pretty upset. I told her that though she'd be in pain from it, she'll be fine.

Like I said, I have been working 7 days a week and have had very little time off. I haven't been on the waverunner in a couple weeks. Hopefully this coming weekend I'll be able to.

Jazzfest at the Kemah Boardwalk. I L O V E Jazz so I WILL make time to be there this coming weekend!!

Well that's it for now folks.

Life goes on

Hi ya'all. Sorry it's been so long since my last post. It's been a rough 10 days. I got really bogged down in a project at work that caused a whole lot of stress, then I had to go to court to testify for the State of Texas vs a state trooper. They settled the case in the last minutes before the trial started. Well it's all over and I feel like I had a 100lb weight lifted off my chest.

Whitney, her friend Samantha and I saw "Cellular" tonight at the theater. It had a quite a few moments where you saw it coming, but still, it was a great film. You know the film is great when the entire theather laughs out loud and is like "YEAH!! ALRIGHT!!" .. it was a very uplifting and feel good movie. I definitely recommend it!

Due to going out to see the movie, I didn't get waverunner time so I'll go tomorrow evening instead.

Not much else to report.. take care ya'all.

Some things make no sense

Monday August 23 2003
Cal Thomas, Fox News http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,129752,00.html

-- Thank you Cal Thomas for another wonderful article and showing that the democrats don't care about the people they spew their lies to, they only care about getting power.

On a personal note, do you know what scares me more than John Kerry becoming President of the United States? Ted Kennedy calling the shots! .. and you democrats think Dick Chaney is running the country? HA!

Animal Planet has new fans

I've known about the Animal Planet channel for a few years but I've never really watched it much. Yesterday I found they have a reality show, animal related of course. It was really cool. Well I wasn't the only one enjoying the show apparently. Jack went up to the tv (43" widescreen) and sits there and watches it. A few times he'd put his paws up on the screen. Big no-no! So this morning I turn on the channel and there he goes again. I'll take a couple pics and post them some time in the near future.

An experience to remember

Last night I decided to take the wave runner out at a last moment kind of thing. With it being late, I used the kemah bridge instead of making way over to egret bay. Whitney's plans fell thru so she went with me. Well she was fully dressed so she didn't go out with me, she just hung around the boat ramps talking on her cell.

When I went under the bridge towards the boardwalk, I immediately noticed the waves were out of control. I was going "into" the water more than staying on top of it and mind you that is a no wake zone so I couldn't hit the gas. However I ended up having to just to stay on top of the waves. When I reached the end of the boardwalk and started going out to the bay, I knew I was in trouble. I was literally going into the water more than staying on top of it. I gunned hard and did a 180 back towards the boardwalk, soaked head to toe. Keep in mind, there is a compartment that is supposed to be water tight where I keep my wallet (id/boat license) and my cell phone. When I opened it up to call Whitney, I found it's not so water tight :(

I then tried to go out onto clear lake and that too was rough, just not as rough as Galveston Bay. I turned back once again. I checked in on Whitney as I always do every 15mins or so when she stays at the boat ramp. I told her I wanted to get out there atleast once so I headed back out to the bay knowing I was in for a rough ride. I didn't care.. I was stressed and needed to let off some steam. I went out and knowing about the nowake zone, I had no choice. I gunned it out of the boardwalk area into the bay. Big mistake! Have you ever heard of a small craft advisory? I don't know where I can find out such information about the bay but last night it was in effect even if I didn't know it officially. I got the shit kicked out of me and quickly realized I was fool for trying to go out there. The waves were bigger than the wave runner w/me on it. I was in the water more than on top of it so I turned back for the last time. In the short time I was out there, I calling myself all kinds of names. I knew better but I just wanted to get out there for a bit and relieve some stress on those waves. It was more like the other way around. Mother nature always wins. Stupid me. Anyway I head back fully open throttle and have never been more airborne. Just getting back to the boardwalk entrance was a major fight and seriously hard on my muscles, not to mention the wave runner. I brought it in, got home, cleaned it out and took a shower. Yeah I had a shower alright but they were with bay water, this one was fresh hot water w/soap :)

Usually when I go out on the wave runner for a couple/3-4 hours, I get home and I'm fine and go to bed. It's the next morning I feel the affects of the day before. Last night I was feeling the affects as soon I was done showering. Sore muscles, walking kinda like a robot. Then this morning.. oh my.. total robot moves. That little time out there last night really beat me up. I've learned my lesson. Next time I encounter seas like that I'll know better not to be a fool.

Long weekend, not much fun

Well here comes another week. woohoo. not. I pretty much worked all weekend and the oil on the midnight lamp was lite long after midnight. Sometimes programming can be a real bummer. oh, did I mention frustrating? But hey, it's what I do. I love it. Right?

Whitney and I did manage to go see Open Water. Good movie. Worth seeing. I didn't like the end though. oh well.

Anyway, hope ya'all had a good weekend and have a better week.

Update on the life of the Kemah Coder

Hey ya'all. Yeah I'm still alive. Exhausted but alive. I worked my butt off this week and I have to work this weekend too. But I'm going to take the time to go see Open Water in the theaters and our fire department is having an open house today so I'm going to show up for that too as my boss is also the president of the FD.

I had planned on getting waverunner time yesterday after work but started having major stomach issues as the afternoon wore on. By the time 6pm rolled around, I was not a happy camper. The good news is thankfully as I work this weekend and do a couple things on my time, it'll be raining/storming so I wouldn't be able to go out on the water anyway.

Have I mentioned recently I AM SICK OF SUMMER WEATHER? I was watching the weather channel yesterday and it's supposed to be in the 60's up in Minnesota where I used to live. Then I was watching the goo-goo dolls in HD in alaska last night and looked up their current weather. 50's !! What I wouldn't give for 50's-60's here right now. But nooooooooooooo we have to have 90's and blanket of humidity. Ugh.. I know.. 1 more month and it'll be over. I can't wait for no humidity to return.

Whitney started school this week and she loves all her teachers. One thing that ticked me off was her 2nd period was Career Investigation and the school allowed her to switch classes without consulting with or getting my permission. The upside is she brought home paperwork on what the new class ("Teen Leadership") entails and I laughed out loud. Ready?

"Teen Leadership is a program in whcih students develop leadership, personal, and business skills. They learn to develop a healthy self-concept, healthy relationships, and learn to understand the concept of personal responsibility." .. exhumm.. "business skills" ? LOL. Whitney learning something about business is like John Kerry learning how to stick with 1 decision and not change his mind. .. "concept of personal responsibility" .. exhumm.. I love this one. So many possibilities for Whitney. :)

I got subpoena'd yesterday. I'll be testifying against the DPS trooper that got my friend fired from the Kemah PD. Yes, I'll tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. And in doing so will take pleasure in the fact that asshole trooper will finally get what's coming to him. I did speak with Ivan and he's doing well all things considered.

Anyway, that's it for now. Ya'all take care now, ya hear?

Iraqi boy helps the troops

FORT CARSON, Colo. — In the Iraqi border town of Al Qaim, U.S. forces were getting pounded by insurgents up to 10 times each day.

Tankers from the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment (search) knew that intelligence was key to battling the enemy. Capt. Chad Roehrman was at a checkpoint when he thought another dodgy informant walked up. "One of my guys came to me and said, 'Hey, sir, we got another boy who says he has information,'" he said.

What the boy had was information on a well-connected cell of 40 fighters whose leader was a former officer in Saddam Hussein's army. He was also the boy's father.
The Americans hid the boy in an armored Humvee and checked out his report of a weapons stockpile in his backyard. They found explosives, rocket propelled grenades and a complete weapons system they hadn't seen before. The father and another man were arrested.
After the bust the boy couldn't go home so he moved in with the soldiers. They gave him the nickname "Steve-O" and a bunk right next to theirs. He later gave them more intelligence that led to other arrests.

Have a good weekend folks

Well I finished getting the citrix server up and running and was even allowed to cut out of work early yesterday(Friday). Rod (my boss and friend) and I went and saw Collateral with Tom Cruise and Jamie Fox. GREAT movie!! Don't take the kids though.. violence, shooting.. cursing..

Anyway I'm gonna chill out and maybe watch a dvd or two today and get some work done. No waverunner this weekend. Next weekend for sure if the weather is good. I might update the blog later. We'll see.

Moore Hot Water

The Bloomington, Illinois, Pantagraph has sent a letter to filmmaker Michael Moore, condemning him for, "misleading" and "unauthorized" use of the newspaper in his latest film, "Fahrenheit 9/11." While addressing the 2000 election controversy, the film flashes a Pantagraph headline saying; "Latest Florida recount shows Gore won election," dated December 19, 2001.

But, in fact, not only did the headline appear in the Pantagraph two weeks earlier and in much smaller type, it appeared above a letter to the editor, reflecting the writer's sentiments, not the news. The Pantagraph is now demanding an apology, an explanation, and compensatory damages, totaling $1.

Time and Life and Death

A friend of mine asks me to go look at their blog site so I go head over there. Well beyond the shock of the latest posting, it hit me. It gets updated every time you turn around. Me, oh I definitely have every "intention" of doing that, but I just never have the time.

Anyway, I've been told how opinionated I am. I mean I have very strong feelings about things in this world, in our country, in politics and in life. There's nothing wrong with that, by itself. Unfortunately the way I express myself .. well .. it doesn't come across the same way I intend it to. I'm told that I speak in a condescending tone and make others feel dumb. The real unfortunate part is those who have pointed this out are right. Now, do I mean to? No, absolutely not. In thinking about what they said, I know that my normal tone to anyone I talk to is not that. Normally, I am a VERY kind, caring, polite, respectful person. I speak proper english and say thank you and ALWAYS say Yes Mam/Sir.

Unfortunately I cannot stand ignorance, stupidity or incompetence. I cannot stand it when people speak of things they have no idea of because they believe what they hear someone else say or read or saw on tv/movie and then spew it out like it's the truth or just as bad, base their own personally beliefs about someone because of that.

If you know me, you know that I served in the United States Navy. Honestly today, I wish I never got out. Me getting out of the Navy was without question, my biggest mistake of my entire life. I haven't said that to anyone, ever. This is the first time I have ever spoken those words. Yeah I have a nice life. Paid well, have my toys and work hard. Would I have those things if I stayed in the Navy? Maybe.. maybe not. But I'd most certainly have a different life than I do today. Do I regret my life? Sometimes yes.

I'm not going to get into details but a small example of what I was talking about is when people believe all the garbage the hollywood idiots and far left oblivions spew. The thing that just irritates the living shit out of me is when people say things they know for a fact is a lie in order to convince other people who will just believe what they hear, without doing their own homework to find the factual truth. They give half truths, leave out important pieces of information and give false information to justify their screwed up HATRED. All this political bullshit Michael Moore and the Flaming liberals put out is based on one thing: HATE. That's right. HATE. If you're normal, just seeing the word HATE should give you an ill feeling. Should. You know who was full of HATE? Hitler, Stalin and Saddam to name a few. The extremist who have kidnapped the peaceful religion of Islam are full of HATE. They will murder their own people, women and children included, who do not share their feelings and way of life. There are people out there who want YOU DEAD or MAIMED. They'd be happy and jump up and down if you lost a leg, an arm or your HEAD. They don't care if you're republican, democrat, independent or libertarian. They don't care if you're black, white, hispanic, asian, chinese, japanese, french, german or russian. They don't care because to them, we are all the same and they want us DEAD. DEAD! YOU GET THAT!!? And there are people like Whoopi Goldberg, Michael Moore, Tim Robbins, Susan Serandon, Linda Ronstat, David Letterman and the entire far left of the democrat party of the United States of America who actually go out and say that the President of the United States puts out terror alerts to boost his campaign and the terror warnings aren't real. AREN'T REAL!!?? That he has intentionally lied to the american people and knew ahead of time there were no WMD's to be found in Iraq. That he "Betrayed" the american people. That he knew of the 9/11 plot beforehand and did nothing and let it happen. That he went to war to get Iraq's oil and "we're going to take over their oil fields". What PLANET ARE YOU LIVING ON if you HONESTLY, IN YOUR SOUL BELIEVE THIS?!!! When exactly are we supposed to get this oil from Iraq? When are we going to take over their oil fields? SHOW ME PROOF, HARD-COLD-FACTS that our President knew about the 9/11 plot and let it happen. SHOW ME PROOF, HARD-COLD-FACTS that our President knew beforehand there were no WMD's. And while you're at it, SHOW ME PROOF, COLD-HARD-FACTS, where EXACTLY did the WMD's go since every nation ON EARTH has said for over a DECADE that Saddam HAD those WMD's.

What HAS our President done since 9/11 that has pissed off a lot of people, mainly politians? He's done what was needed to be done and he didn't let WEASELS like F R A N C E stand in the way. He sent the best military on earth after the VERY PEOPLE WHO WANT YOU DEAD and he didn't stop by and ASK FOR PERMISSION! The United States of America doesn't need ANYONE's PERMISSION to defend itself.

Have you watched some of the street interviews on tv? or heard them on radio? Walk up to a random person and ask questions about what they think they know about President Bush and the war on terror and 9/11. When they start with the same shit the left have been spewing and you ask questions, they go "I don't the answers, I just think President Bush is lying". Anyone who thinks the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is going to L I E to the American people is an imbecile. Go to school and learn some history. The last president who intentionally lied to the american people did so to protect a personal, private matter that affected only himself, his family and Monica Lewinsky. He was impeached! Do you KNOW what would happen to President Bush if he intentionally lied to the american people about NATIONAL SECURITY? Impeachment would be the last of his problems!

The other reason I get so upset with people is because of my job. I deal with people every single day who don't read and make stupid, insane comments to me. They blame everyone but themselves for screwing up their job. It's never their doing. Instructions say do a,b,c,d,e & f. What do they do? Skip abc and do de & f. Then when it doesn't work, call all pissed off and demanding to know why it doesn't work. "well you should have done this or that". Well idiot, if you would have READ the instructions, you wouldn't have the pbm you do. Whatever.

Am I God? That's laughable. Am I perfect? Laughable. Am I always right? so laughable. Do I think I have all the answers? Stop, seriously, you're killing me.

No, I am human like you, I make mistakes. Sometimes really big ones. I rarely have the right answers.. I rely on my genius boss for those.

What I do though is I stay informed. I don't watch or listen to hatred or bias. I read A LOT. If you knew how much I read every single day, it would scare you. That's probably why I don't have time to update my blog site, because I'm always reading, or working.

Couple hints to stay informed ;
Watch Special Report on FoxNews channel at 6pm EST, Daily. (a real fair and balanced look at the days news events)

Watch The Beltway Boys on FoxNews channel at 6pm EST every Saturday (a real fair and balanced look at the weeks events)

Watch Fox News Watch at 6:30pm EST on FoxNews channel every Saturday( a real fair and balanced look at the MEDIA coverage for the weeks events)

-- All of these shows have democrats, republicans and independants. They are NOT slanted towards republicans if that's what you're thinking. --

If you're going to surf the net for news, ALWAYS goto all three major sites to get a REAL FAIR AND BALANCED view. Cnn is the most liberal and anti-republican slanted site. MsNbc is fairly so but not as bad, FoxNews is the least liberal slanted, of course. UsaToday.com is about 70/30.
Make up your own mind, but for gods sake don't take 10 seconds or 10 minutes and think you know. watch those sites for days and weeks.

Want a secret? Look at the daily polls. See how the wording of the poll slants one way or another.

What is "liberal" ?? Why do people like Howard Stern and Hollywood want the republicans out of office? If you really honestly don't know what the term liberal means, ask me, or better yet, look it up.

Finally in tonights posting, do you know what the R E A L L Y ironic thing is about the liberals wanting the republicans out of office? The more LIBERAL you are, the MORE the extremist terrorist want you DEAD. They're the ones who want women to cover every inch of their bodies except for their eyes. They're the ones who don't believe women have a voice. They're the ones who believe nightclubs are houses of sin.

The worst part of all this.. they want me dead too. and my daughter and my mom and my dad and my sister and my grandmother and my friends and my friends kids ...

Maybe now you'll have a little bit of a better understanding why I get so worked up about what people say about Our President, the republican party and terrorists. And when I worked up, if I come across as condescending and treat you like you're stupid, then I apologize. I have to work on that. It's a major flaw of mine and I don't mean it, especially if you're someone I care about. I'm not an angry person in life. I don't treat people like shit. But when I do get out of control, just slap me once or twice and tell me I'm being an ass.

Friends are hard to come by.. especially good ones. Treasure yours for you never know when they'll be gone.

Cardio is when you're heartrate is faster than it is now

I love that line. Adria on Big Brother just said it. Yep, that's right folks, I watch and listen to big brother 5 online. I love reality tv. Survivor is still my favorite. The Amazing Race is my 2nd, then Big Brother. I don't care for the mtv type reality shows.. bunch of young stupid people making idiots of themselves.

Anyway it was a very hectic week with the bosses gone on vacation so sorry about not posting more this week. I did manage to get an hour in the jacuzzi this week and Friday after work I went out on Galveston Bay on the waverunner for an hour & a half. That was major fun but the big boats give me real workout. So the subject line was reality last night, believe you me. I have to admit though it was really cool going by the Kemah Boardwalk on the water instead of the boardwalk :-) I'm really sore today so I know I had good workout yesterday.

Anyway I'm taking Whitney and her friend Courtney to see The Village at the movie theater so I gotta get.

Until the next time..

Lunch

I had nice healthy lunch with my daughter at a local restaurant. I had the grilled catfish with corn and she had the grilled chicken. It was outstanding food and we had a good time. I came back to the office and my special woman and I had a good laugh or two and now it's back to work time.

I care for her but she believes that Michael Moore CRAP!

Well folks I have someone special in my life and her name is Jackie. We met and dated when I lived in Minnesota and we just clicked. Things were going really well and my daughter just adores her. Unfortunately a few months into our relationship I was more or less forced to move to Texas. We've yahoo'd each other off and on over the last few years just to say hi and stuff but when you're 2000 miles away, what do you do? Well when it's difficult to think about "What-if", it becomes easier to not think about it and try to move on. Fortunately or unfortunately depending on how you look at it, I only dated one other woman since moving here to Texas. It didn't work out. So here I am single and abstinent. Other than being lonely, I've been happy because I have a relatively good life. I have my daughter, a wonderful job that I love, good friends and keep busy volunteering in my city. I'll write about my waverunner at another time. Anyway last week I was thinking about Jackie and turns out she was thinking about me at the same time. We both think about "what-if" all the time. I told her I would love to fly up there and spend the weekend with her and see how things go. I have very strong feelings for her and I think it's clear we're going to see each other soon.

Then there was last night. We talked on the phone for over 3 hours. We had a blast and laughed our butts off. I just don't know if she was pulling my chain about her political views or if she was serious. She says Bush is a liar and we went to war for the iraq oil and, ready?.. we're going to take over the oil fields. I think she was just yanking my chain for fun.. but if she was serious and honestly believes that shit that moore puts out and believes (but has no proof of) that Bush intentionally lied to the american people, what do I think?

I guess I'll go get all the "facts" and post them. Maybe that'll clear things up.

Later people...

Heinz-Kerry starts the DNC with her own flip-flop

The convention hasn't even started yet and Kerry's wife starts her own flip-flop.

"We need to turn back some of the creeping, un-Pennsylvanian and sometimes un-American traits that are coming into some of our politics," the wife of Sen. John Kerry (news - web sites) told her fellow Pennsylvanians on Sunday night at a Massachusetts Statehouse reception.
Minutes later, Colin McNickle, the editorial page editor of the conservative Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, questioned her on what she meant by the term "un-American," according to a tape of the encounter recorded by Pittsburgh television station WTAE.
Heinz Kerry said, "I didn't say that" several times to McNickle. She then turned to confer with Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell and others. When she faced McNickle again a short time later, he continued to question her, and she replied: "You said something I didn't say. Now shove it."

When our VP told that devisive senator to F-off, the media wouldn't let it go for over a week. Do you think they'll even put this on the news? I doubt it and if they do, it'll be 1/2 day story and they'll drop it.

I have so much to say, do you have the time?

Well folks, if you know me, you know I'm strong willed and opinionated. I welcome your feedback and discussion!
